Altered expression profile of BAFF receptors on peripheral blood B lymphocytes in Graves’ disease

چکیده
Abstract Background B lymphocyte activating factor (BAFF) is a growth regulating lymphocytes survival and maturation. Serum BAFF levels were elevated in patients affected with autoimmune thyroid diseases (AITD), including Graves’ disease (GD) Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT). The aim of this study to explore the association expression its receptors AITD. Methods Fifty-two GD patients, 39 (HT) 23 healthy controls (HC) recruited study. measured by ELISA. Expression receptors, receptor 3 (BR3) transmembrane activator calcium-modulating cyclophilin ligand interactor (TACI), on analyzed flowcytometry. Effects steroids serum BR3 TACI also observed 10 orbitopathy (GO) receiving therapy. Results significantly from 0.93 ± 0.24 ng/ml HC 1.18 0.33 ( P = 0.0027) 1.02 HT 0.0331). peripheral (mean MFI: 4.52 2.06 vs. 3.00 0.87 HC, 0.0015), while decreased without significance 7.96 4.06 9.10 3.37 0.1285). was not changed patients. Steroids suppressed concentrations (from 0.27 0.97 0.10 ng/ml, 0.0364) GO MFI 6.26 4.91 4.05 1.58, 0.0083). Conclusions Altered may mediate autoimmunity GD. Restoring normal profile for could be new strategy treat

Soluble BAFF levels inversely correlate with peripheral B cell numbers and the expression of BAFF receptors.
The TNF family member protein BAFF/BLyS is essential for B cell survival and plays an important role in regulating class switch recombination as well as in the selection of autoreactive B cells. In humans, increased concentrations of soluble BAFF are found in different pathological conditions, which may be as diverse as autoimmune diseases, B cell malignancies, and primary Ab deficiencies (PAD)...

Altered peripheral profile of blood cells in Alzheimer disease
Alzheimer disease (AD) has been made a global priority for its multifactorial pathogenesis and lack of disease-modifying therapies. We sought to investigate the changes of profile of blood routine in AD and its correlation with the disease severity. In all, 92 AD patients and 84 age and sex-matched normal controls were enrolled and their profiles of blood routine were evaluated.Alzheimer disease...
متن کاملBaff Mediates Survival of Peripheral Immature B Lymphocytes
B cell maturation is a very selective process that requires finely tuned differentiation and survival signals. B cell activation factor from the TNF family (BAFF) is a TNF family member that binds to B cells and potentiates B cell receptor (BCR)-mediated proliferation. A role for BAFF in B cell survival was suggested by the observation of reduced peripheral B cell numbers in mice treated with r...
متن کاملExpression of low-density lipoprotein receptors in peripheral blood and tonsil B lymphocytes.
B lymphocytes, purified from peripheral leucocytes from young normolipaemic humans, expressed and internalized low-density lipoprotein receptors (LDLR). The expression was assessed by a monoclonal anti-LDLR. The internalization of LDL was assessed by LDL labelled with 125I (125I-LDL) and 1,1'-dioctadecyl-3,3,3',3' tetramethyl-indocarboxycyanine perchlorate (LDL-DiI). The expression of LDLR, ass...
